Stage 1 Water Restrictions in Effect

Thanks to the community’s amazing participation in our irrigation conservation efforts combined with recent rains, the combined storage in Lakes Travis and Buchanan is now over 1.1 million acre-feet. This, according to the LCRA’s Drought Contingency Plan, places us in Stage 1.

WCID No. 17 customers are now allowed to water a maximum of twice-per-week on their designated days. While this is great news for all of us, we are still very much in a Drought. So please note that if we fail to get rain later this summer, and combined storage falls below 900,000 acre-feet, we will be forced to return to Stage 2 watering restrictions. Your continued conservation of this precious natural resource will be key to maintaining our Lake’s storage levels as long as possible.

It is imperative that each customer knows which stage we are in, their designated watering days, and that they stay in compliance with the current irrigation controls. You can stay informed by visiting our website at www.WCID17.org and/or following our Facebook page.

The watering schedule for Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan is listed below.

Your watering days are based on your address ending number:

Monday & Thursday: 0, 1, 2, 3 (Res)

Tuesday & Friday: 4, 5, 6 (Res)

Tuesday & Friday: Commercial/HOAs

Wednesday & Saturday: 7, 8, 9 (Res)

Sunday no automated systems are allowed

All watering should occur a maximum of two days a week. Approved hours are between 12 a.m. – 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. – 12 a.m. on your authorized day.

Note: Above-ground (hose-end) sprinklers are allowed on designated day between hours of 12 a.m. – 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
