WCID No. 17 crews will be performing an inspection of potable water pipes for approximately 1800 homes throughout our service area that were built prior to 1988.
The Environmental Protection Agency, through the Safe Drinking Water Act, requires the inspection of these service lines to determine if any of the components are made of lead. Water service will not be affected during the inspection. If any additional steps need to be taken, WCID No. 17 crews will leave information for the homeowner.
The inspections are beginning the week of August 26, 2024 and are expected to be completed in three to four months.
