Maintenance and Asset Manager
Jorge Rivera joined WCID No. 17 in 2024 as the Maintenance and Asset Manager. In this role, he leads a team of 22 staff members dedicated to protecting and preserving the District’s $300 million in assets. Mr. Rivera oversees the daily operations of the preventative and corrective maintenance divisions, ensuring the District upholds the highest standards of technical excellence. He is also responsible for ensuring that all operations comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as the District’s policies and regulations.
With an extensive background in engineering and maintenance, coupled with experience launching flagship plants, Mr. Rivera plays a pivotal role in the long-term preservation of the District’s electrical and mechanical equipment.
A 22-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Rivera served in various management capacities, further enriching his leadership and technical expertise.
